Venue

The conference began Friday evening*, October 25th, with a Welcome Reception and Keynote presentation at the bright, modern venue Pure Space, located at 1315 NW Overton Street, in Northwest Portland’s popular Pearl District. After receiving their registration materials, conference attendees were treated to an exciting evening  program that included a keynote presentation and networking with fellow animal advocates, while enjoying plant-based appetizers and drinks.

All plenary sessions on Saturday, October 26th also took place at Pure Space. Breakfast was not provided, but coffee and tea was served before the sessions began and snacks were available during each break. A delicious, plant-based, catered lunch was served on Saturday and is included with the registration fee. The banquet dinner and evening program took place in the same location; pre-purchased banquet tickets were required for the optional evening program.

Sunday, October 27th was a half day, with concurrent sessions in Pure Space and Flex Space in the Pure Space building. Coffee, tea, and snacks were available again on Sunday and the conference concluded just before 12:00 p.m.

*Note: the Animal Legal Defense Fund hosted their third annual Student Convention on Friday, October 25th from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at Pure Space. Law students registering for the Animal Law Conference were encouraged to come early to attend the Student Convention as well!
