The Duniway Portland

We reserved a group hotel block at The Duniway Portland, located approximately 1.3 miles from the conference venue. The Duniway was offering Animal Law Conference attendees a special rate of $179/night plus tax for rooms with 1 king or queen bed. Each room includes 1 king or queen bed, a private bathroom, high-speed wireless internet access, a work desk, flat-screen TV with HD channels and more. Hotel Lucia

We reserved a group hotel block at Hotel Lucia, which is located approximately 1.1 miles from the conference venue. Hotel Lucia was offering Animal Law Conference attendees a special rate of $179/night plus tax for rooms with 1 queen bed. Residence Inn Portland Downtown/RiverPlace

We reserved a group hotel block at the Residence Inn Portland Downtown/RiverPlace, which is located near the water, approximately 2.5 miles from the conference venue. The Residence Inn was offering Animal Law Conference attendees special rates of $169/night plus tax for a 1 bedroom suite with 1 king bed and 1 sofa bed, or $199/night plus tax for a 2 bedroom suite, with 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, 1 sofa bed and 2 bathrooms. Both room types include fully equipped kitchens, complimentary high-speed wireless internet access, a work desk, TVs, a separate dining area and more. The Residence Inn also offers complimentary hot breakfast and there is a pool and fitness center on-site. Self-parking was available for a discounted rate of $27/day. Sentinel

We reserved a group hotel block at the Hotel deLuxe, located approximately 1 mile from the conference venue. Ground Transportation

Transit

It takes approximately 40 minutes by MAX light rail train to travel from the Portland International Airport to downtown Portland. From the airport baggage claim area, look for signs for “Light Rail Tickets.” You can purchase a MAX train ticket ($2.50 to downtown) and get information about the train schedule in the airport lobby. The train runs approximately every 15 minutes to and from the airport.

To travel downtown from the airport, catch the MAX Red Line towards “City Center & Beaverton TC.” Exit the train at the Pioneer Square North stop which is located at SW Broadway and SW Morrison in downtown Portland.

All of the hotels are located in downtown Portland and the conference venue is located in Portland’s Pearl District. The Pearl District is approximately 1.2 miles north of downtown Portland.

It takes approximately 15 minutes by Portland Streetcar to travel from downtown Portland to the Pearl District. At the corner of SW 10th Ave and SW Yamhill, catch the Portland Streetcar – NS Line at the Central Library stop toward NW 23rd Ave. Exit the streetcar at NW 14th & Northrup and head north on NW 14th Ave toward NW Overton. Pure Space is located at the northeast corner of NW 14th and NW Overton. The Portland Streetcar services multiple stops in downtown Portland. To view the Portland Streetcar System map, click here.

Car Service

If you would like to book private car service to/from the airport or a local tour, we recommend Northwest Concierge Services. Taxis, Lyft & Uber

Taxis, Lyft and Uber all operate from Portland International Airport. Depending on the time of day, it will take approximately 30-45 minutes to get from the airport to downtown Portland and fares will range from $25-$40. Radio Cab offers a discount with coupons available on their website.

Taxis, Lyft and Uber also operate in downtown Portland and the Pearl District. Depending on the time of day, it will take approximately 10 minutes to get from downtown Portland to Pure Space, the conference venue. Fares will range from $8 – $15.

Airport Shuttle

Blue Star Airport Shuttle offers door-to-door service from Portland International Airport to downtown hotels. Shuttles leave from Island #2, outside of airport baggage claim every ½ hour between 8:00 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. and from the downtown hotels from 4:20 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Their rates are $14 one-way or $24 round-trip per person. Reservations are possible, but not necessary, unless you would like to schedule a pickup outside of their regular schedule.
