Emily McCormack is the animal curator and intern coordinator at Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge (TCWR), a non-profit, GFAS-accredited sanctuary in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, dedicated to the rescue and lifelong care of abused, neglected, and abandoned captive wild animals. With over 27 years of experience in exotic animal care, Emily has played a pivotal role in spearheading major rescue and rehabilitation operations across the U.S. and internationally. Her expertise spans animal husbandry, behavioral management, and the design of natural habitats that allow rescued animals to thrive. A prominent leader in national wildlife advocacy, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Big Cat Sanctuary Alliance (BCSA), working actively to eliminate the private trade and commercial exploitation of wild cats. Additionally, Emily is a member of the Technical Advisory Panel for Wild Welfare US (WWUS), contributing her knowledge to enhance global welfare standards for captive wildlife.
