As a dedicated advocate for animals, Taylor Waters has spent her career at the intersection of law, policy, and movement-building, driving strategic initiatives to create meaningful change. With experience spanning litigation, legal education, nonprofit leadership, and global event programming, Taylor specializes in developing high-impact projects that advance animal protection worldwide.
Currently, Taylor is the Farm Animal Advocacy Staff Attorney at Vermont Law & Graduate School’s Animal Law and Policy Institute, where she works on legal advocacy, policy analysis, and student mentorship in the field of animal law. Her current focus of scholarship is issues arising from animal-based aquaculture. She is also the Head of Programs for the Animal & Vegan Advocacy Summit, curating thought-provoking programming across four continents and fostering collaboration among advocates, researchers, and industry leaders.
With a background in strategic impact litigation, pro bono engagement, and movement-building, Taylor is passionate about leveraging law, education, and community to strengthen global advocacy for animals.
