Daina Bray is the Climate Change and Animal Agriculture Senior Litigation Fellow and Project Manager with the Law, Ethics & Animals Program at Yale Law School. She previously served as General Counsel of Mercy for Animals, and the International Fund for Animal Welfare. With more than seventeen years in legal practice, including nine years in private practice in the areas of international arbitration and litigation, Daina brings a breadth of nonprofit, international, and animal law experience. Daina is a current co-chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) International Animal Law Committee, a current member of the ABA TIPS Leadership Council, a past chair of the ABA Animal Law Committee and a past chair of the Tennessee Bar Association Animal Law Section. She received her law degree from Stanford Law School, with pro bono distinction, and her bachelors in international studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Morehead scholar. Following college, Daina spent a year as a Fulbright scholar in Kingston, Jamaica, working in environmental education. Daina received the 2021 ABA Excellence in the Advancement of Animal Law Award.
